1. Who we are
ePetition PK ("the platform", "we") is an online petitions platform operated by [company name, SECP registration number, NTN, registered address], a company registered in Pakistan. Using the platform means you accept these terms.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. You must give accurate details, verify your email address, and keep your password confidential. One person may hold one account. Accounts created to inflate signature counts are removed, along with the signatures they cast.
You are shown on the platform by your username. Your real name is held on the account and is not published. You must not choose a username that impersonates another person, a public body, or the platform itself.
3. Petitions and content you post
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, store and distribute it on the platform, and to forward petitions and their supporting documents to the authority they are addressed to.
You must not post anything that:
- identifies or targets a private individual, or publishes personal data;
- alleges criminal conduct by a named person;
- is defamatory, hateful, threatening, or incites violence;
- infringes anyone’s intellectual property;
- is commercial promotion, spam, or a duplicate of an existing petition;
- impersonates another person or an official body;
- is unlawful in Pakistan, including anything falling within the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016.
4. Moderation
Petitions are reviewed before publication. We may edit, decline, unpublish or remove any petition or comment that breaches these terms or the community guidelines, and may suspend or close accounts that do so repeatedly. Where we remove your content we will tell you why, and you may appeal once.
5. Signatures
Signatures are counted once per verified account. Withdrawing a signature removes it from the count. We do not sell, rent or share signatory lists.
6. What we do not promise
We are an independent platform. We are not part of any government, and we cannot guarantee that any authority will respond to a petition or act on it. Reaching a signature threshold triggers our forwarding process; it does not oblige anyone to reply.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the platform available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may suspend it for maintenance or security.
8. Liability
[To be drafted by counsel — limitation of liability, indemnity, and the exclusions permitted under Pakistani law.]
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The courts at [city of the registered office] have exclusive jurisdiction.
10. Lawful requests
We may be required to disclose account information in response to a lawful order from a court or an authorised body in Pakistan. Where we are permitted to tell you that we have received such a request, we will.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect.
